Default Snacktime's $500 work beater

Picked up a used 180k mile 2007 2wd nnbs ccsb with a 5.3 for $500. Currently missing various plastic parts and has low oil pressure.

Already replaced the oil pressure sending unit, going to drop the oil pan and do pick up tube o ring.

Needs tires soon and few other odds and ends

Not that pretty, got lots of paint pen work. Definitely a 20fter.

Also been smoked in, interior looks white from all the baking soda.

Oil pressure fixed, O ring didn't look bad but did the trick. Runs good, just need to bleed the brakes as they mushy.

Now I need to upgrade the stance, I think I am going to buy lowering shackles and lowering struts.

IMO, 3/5 drops are the perfect stance on that body style.

But for a $500 beater, I'd just put a rear sway bar on it and sink the rest of the upgrade money into a sloppy turbo setup. All go, no show.

Well had some vibration on deacceleration and a clunk...

Clunk fixed! Still vibrates like a ***** on deacceleration...

A bag of regular charcoal (not match-light) under the back seat will knock that smell out. I’ve heard ground coffee works too but never tried it personally.
