Traction bars blend right in. Install was pretty straight forward. Nice unit from Speed Engineering. I plan on getting their driveshaft loop in the future. Shooting for tnt if it doesn’t rain. It’s almost daily currently in Tampa. Has anyone done better then a 1.9 60ft with a pretty much stock truck and converter?

I'm guessing he'll go from 13.6's to 13.2's with LT's and exhaust. After I lower mine I think I'm going to ditch the y pipe and 3.5" exhaust and go to Speed Engineering x pipe and run 3" duals. For sound (I hate the weird raspy y pipe) and to see what it picks up in power.

Are L83s typically picking up a lot from LTs? I don't see 20hp being worth it for me right now but Speed Engineering is pretty affordable so who knows. I like the subtle grumble from the cat-back I have and keeps that sleeper aspect I like.

Not many people I could find are doing simple nitrous builds with these trucks yet. I am expecting around a 12.5 when its all said and done, maybe quicker? That should help with losing almost every damn race at the track haha (not much fun). I also have the 6.2 manifold and throttle body to throw on.

What's really frustrating is me seeing a C6 Vette blow by at the track, when I've ran faster times than him when my truck was running better. Need to go back now and show 'em whose boss lol. Killed a C7 at a light the other day so he gave up. 4 hi of course

haha yeah sometimes I wish I would have gone with the 4wd model but i couldn't find one with E85 by me. SO far pretty happy with it, simple mods have gone a long way. I think the first pass I ever made was a 15.2? Now I use M&H drag radials, they hook pretty good so far. My last dsm people feelings would get hurt from a stop light, your story gave me a flash back. good times

Nice truck btw, digging the whipple setup

While I save funds I did a couple free mods that I have noticed good results from. First I addressed the gas pedal assembly, very loose design by GM. The truck responds so much better now by “bracing” it with a washer. When I tap the gas it actually moves now, amazing. Second I did a little trimming of the factory air box. It does sound better and feels a little peppier. Had my roommate drive it and he noted the same.

Got a friendly run in with a buddies tbss from a really high roll (didn’t plane well) of about 70mph. Previously he woulda go by me pretty quickly however this time I pulled slightly and kept going. Not too bad for a work truck.

Waiting for the the next opportunity to go to Bradenton for some fun runs. Pb of 13.6

Recently swapped in the L86 intake manifold and throttle body which turned out to be a pretty easy R&R. Honestly I wish I would have done this right after buying the truck Dec 17'. Between that and opening up the intake it feels alot peppier then before and the butt dyno detects a stronger top end. I ended up going with Speed Engineering headers and plan to install them next week. Appointment with the local shop, 360 Customs, the 24th for a retune. I am hoping for about 360ish hp to the tire. Next track day is Halloween.. shooting for that elusive 13.5 e/t. I will be sure to post up the results with pics/video.
