was a fcc for 6yrs on 135's then got boned and stuck at dyess on the bone for 3yrs.....then in sept I gave them the dueces and been lovin havin a beard haha

Tear down pictures... To the eye, all rods are straight. No cracked ringlands on the 7 pistons to inspect. No spun bearings. Also a nice junk of piston some how made it from number 5 to number 3 thru the intake?!

Number 5 hole just didn't want to play no more.

Everything actually looks pretty good to be taking that kinda abuse for so long. well minus the missing piston....

^^^ I want to say it looks really good considering the **** you tossed at that. Hell i bet if you would have dropped boost, you could have got another 100k out of that bad boy.

Looks really good, it would of took what you gave it all over again had the rod not let go.

With the 05+ Rods it would still be together.

Honestly because none of the other rods are bent I'm not sure if the rings touches or the rod gave. Either way I would have a lot of trust in a 05+ newer setup and a litte extra gap in the rings.

It'll buff out, lol.

It's too bad you don't know the definite point of failure, it'd be interesting to know if proper ring gap or different rods would have made the difference.

Do you have a known good rod to put next to each of the rods for comparison?
