That is one clean suburban!!
When you get around to doing a turbo setup you will be happy with just 6-7psi. And you can run LS3 Springs and 52# flex fuel injectors.
Also the factory torque converter is plenty strong for the added torque.
My old 6.0 made 560ftlb tq at 2800rpms with stock TC but have to make sure your trans pressures are good to be able to hold it.

Only thing holding me back from starting the turbo build is:
-I want to retain all cats. My other play car (turbo 6.0 LS/4L80E) has a SS2 cam and no cats, and it stinks to high heaven. The fix for this would be to keep the cats on the Suburban but install a cutout upstream of them, but I'm still considering the packaging of all that.
-Intercooler fitment. Space in front of the condenser is already jam packed full of oil and trans coolers.

I'd be worried about the cats being a major restriction and then melting and clogging or blowing out. I'd look in to some quality high flow cats. I know I'm looking at some for my tundra because the straight pipe stink is getting old on a daily driver.

That cam has overlap as well so your getting fuel pulled past the exhaust valve. What ECU/PCM are you using on that? Most the time the tune isnt correct and thats why they stink.

The front only has a trans cooler and a power steering cooler. The trans cooler can be replaced with a Trucool 40K and mounted further down to give room for a intercooler or heat exchanger. Another option is W/A intercooler and shorter cold side piping but you would have to go to Electric fans to gain more room.

Deleted the radiator end tank oil cooler, added the external air to oil cooler, and installed e-fans on the 2500. Had the PCM tuned by PCMofNC for the fans as well as a general performance 93 tune to wake it up. Slapped on some stock size 245 tires to replace the 265 A/Ts in an attempt to give it some gearing edge and reduce tire weight. The combination of changes really woke the thing up!

More room to work on things in the engine bay is nice too.

We spent all summer running around the western half of NY pulling the 27' Jayco. First year camping, half a dozen trips and we had a blast. Can't wait for next year. Between the half dozen camping trips and 3 trips down to Watkins Glen, I put on about 1800 miles towing around 7K lbs this year.

Exploring the outskirts of the track at the Glen after HPDE lapping ended

Makes for a very comfortable and secure hotel room, too.

Oh and I am bringing home another car tomorrow. Shocker, has a V8. I think I might have a cigar this weekend to celebrate.

Way thinner, you can actually reach down in there now with the e-fan.
