The setup was never really built to be a max effort track unit. The cam is only mid 230's @.050" and is daily driver friendly, the 22"s are heavy as hell. We did install 18" drag radials on the back for the 11.9 pass.

Truck weighs in at 4600lbs with driver and was at 4500' DA on the 11.9 pass.

It makes gob's of torque and makes the owner smile ear to ear every time he drives it. That was the goal.

With a cam that big I'd still have expected a low 11. 230's cam isn't exactly small. Many 7.0L's have used bigger, but it's still not small. Either way though that truck is bad ***. It's pretty similar to what I want to do with mine. I even like the color. When it's dyno'd please post as I'm very curious. Why so much gear with a 7.0L? I'd think it would be quicker with a 4.10 gear.

Like Black X Said we never really planned on racing this truck @ the track. Thinking about make a few changes next year for the guy cause he has the drag racing bug now. When the project started he just wanted a tire frying pickup.

Actually a few months ago we had the pinion walk on us and it hit the carrier, we were doing a bunch of pulls out on the highway one afternoon against my dad's '03 LS1 Vette w/ 150 NOS Kit which dyno'ed @ 510 RWHP. Also ran a Vortech Charged LS1 '99 Vette that dyno'ed @ 490 RWHP and the truck just beat it till about 100 MPH. Vette's on street tires. Truck had slicks on the street. Outta the hole truck jumped both.
