The only thing that will be different between the status of your projects now and when I come back is you'll have more pieces for them but none of them assembled.

Speaking of things laying around, should I disconnect the battery while I'm gone? It'll sit for about 2-3 months before anyone fires it up again. I already drained the fuel tank so that should be good, or damn, should I fill it up so no condesation collects in the tank...

Drain it. Fuel breaks down and make a wonderfull mess usually of the injectors so drain everything you can from the system. Disconect battery and pull it out of the tray. Don't put it on the ground though keep it elivated and put it on something like a 2x4. Battery's are always breathing and you don't want the acid vapors to collect around the battery and start corrodeing the terminals and tray.

Even though you won't be gone to long it still good practice. run some cleaer through the fuel system when you fill it back up.

not sure if any one will be around were your storing it but you can get a battery tender that will help keep a trickle charge on the battery so it doesnt just go dead while your gone.

I would drain the tank, leave the cap slightly loose so it can breathe. Set the truck frame on jack stands, let the suspension hang (no flat spots on the tires).

Sitting for only 3 or 4 months isn't a real biggy. I have let them sit for over a year in the field and it didn't hurt them.
