lets me start off by saying i love this forum i breathe this **** ha. well i just got done rebuilding my car so its my truck's turn. i have a 2001 silverado 5.3 z71. I got the heads off ready to install my upgrades. heres my list of what i got ls9 cam, ls9 head gaskets, ls9 springs, ls1 efans, arp head studs, ls2 chain, ls2 lifter trays and summit lifters. things i need are ls2 timming cover and harness extension, (intake valve cover waterpump timing cover gaskets) and 1x timing gear is that all i need? i wanta do the main stuff before i slap a turbo on it so i kno its gona hold so that been the case, im gonna stay NA for like 5 months. will my combo atleast be making decent power for right now in NA mode?

That's what I was thinking but the guy at summit had me sold on this cam saying its great for boost wether its supercharged or turbo and that boost is boost and and I'm new to boost so I was like ok and got it plus it was only 150$. I did some research on it and lingenfelter had the same cam but called the gt2 i believe and it did wonders on there turbo corvette

im gonna clean my pistons and bores with mopar ccc cuz my 5.3 has 178k miles what do ya think about that product. i heard fill bore up 2in let sit for 30mins then wipe away and put vasaline around piston where rings are and rotate the engine so the piston goes up then on it way down the vasaline gona catch any trash that was on left on the rings then after that do step 1 one more time and good as new wat ya think?
