Not much to report. The track got rained out when I was going to go to the T/T so no baseline times yet.
Decided to start installing some old audio gear I had around the house tonight. Pioneer 7" flip screen with iPod hook up and all the other goodies and a set of JL XR 6.5" components for the front doors.
Got the truck torn apart, got some of the wires ran and realized I don't have any solder
Oh well, will be ready to finish up tomorrow.

Just trial fitting the deck to make sure there is no gaps or other things that will catch me by surprise once it's all wired.

Where is everyone mounting their tweeters in their trucks? Thinking of putting it in the A-Pillar and bouncing it off the windshield like the newer trucks or are you putting it in the door in the stock location where the stock tweeter was or making a new hole above in the door above the window switches???
Looking for some input on what sounds best.

This is how I mounted the tweets in my A-pillars. Used compressor air hose coupling from Sears and 1 1/2" PVC cap to make "pods". Nice thing is you can adjust the position to your liking depending on the tweets you have (some sound best off axis, some sound best on axis, etc.) I think the fittings were $15 or so and the PVC caps were < $5 so I have less than $20 into these......

Thanks!!
Nice. If I mount them in the a pillar I will do a flush mount I think. The tweeters have an adjustable pivot so I should be able to adjust them some once mounted

Ugh... can't confirm for sure but go figure the one day I go to a bar to celebrate my brother turning 21 my truck get's backed into. I just now noticed but really not sure where else it could have happened. I was there friday night and it's been parked in my garage since then.
Bumper has a pretty good crease in it and is pushed back and up on the drivers side. I have heard the bar has cameras in the parking lot so hoping I get lucky there any maybe get something. Just ticked off there was no note or insurance card or anything.

Good looking truck. My 2005 Gibbs extended cab came without the bumpers and seats but had everything else, 5.3 supercharger, auto, corsa exhaust, gauges, dash plaque, door/tailgate badges, and wing. I may be forgetting some. I've added 2" drop hangers and 2" spindles. I also got tired of trying to find a JGP front bumper cover so I blacked out the stocker. Works for me.
