Default The other truck!

This is a truck I bought recently, Its a 1999 gmc 1500 4x4 has 230 km on the clock.

I got a really good deal on it I think, So this truck is a Ginny pig to my experiments .
Was working on it when I thought I would do a little build post on it so if others wish to do some stuff similar to this there is little info.

It was run into on a parking lot and the guy tried to fix it by covering it with sheeting and random white paint.
I started working on it before I thought to post it up.
The door is new has a small ding but that's ok at least its convex and not concave.
also the rear quarters are rotten.
I ordered new rear patch panels, cab corner and a rocker.

Here is what I'm doing for paint.
Since the body is not perfect I decided to Rapter gard the whole truck.
Rapter gard is a spray on bed liner.
you need the spray gun the Rapter liner and a compressor. They make tinted and non tinted, I got the tinted and got some paint made up to match the trucks existing paint.

There is a lot of prep involved in order to spray. You have to sand the whole truck down and mask off anything you don't want Raptered. If you burn thro the paint you need to put primer on and sand that to.
But it is extremely easy to paint and make look good.
I had the bottom cowl hit the hood when I was done and there was a massive spot where it looked like I just took my hand and ran it across.
After some exciting words where said and it had cured a little I sprayed it again and fixed the spot. looked awesome!
so its easy to fix also.

Ya it should be pretty awesome when its done.
Ya if you have a truck that's not perfect body wise scratches and smaller dents this stuff will cover up the imperfections.
Lipstick on a pig.

Looks good! How much do you plan on using to cover the whole truck?
