Default Newly Rebuild LQ4 - 370ci

I got the motor back from the machine shop in October, just getting around now to start putting it back together and get it running again. I had the shop use all arp bolts on it, he said it was a great move. I dont really plan on hammering this motor to death like the previous one (last pic) but I will have some fun with it! Not sure on what intake im going to go with yet, the stock truck one is full of metal from the last motor. Not sure on how i could get it totally cleared of particals. Im thinking mabye the FAST LsxR but i dont know if i want to spend a G-note on an intake. Might just get a used truck style and buy a larger TB... dont know. Im open for ideas.

Here are some pics of the motors though.

Thats what tore the block all up... i was running down a punk *** in a Mazda RX8 and the last i looked at the tack it was at 7000 or so... Well by the time I looked back up i was coasting with a trail of smoke behind me. So a number of things could have cased it. B

I would have ran him over if it didnt expire on me! I was on his back bumper so much that i could see his eyes in the rear view! Gives me hope that this new moter will be stout though. The last motor was stock LQ4 with only the CAM... so a little more cubes in this one, plus a good builder putting it together with all good parts... should be awesome. Plus I had the heads from the blown motor totally overhauled by my engine guy. I ported them myself on the last motor, he just took them and fix the two chambers that got fuggled and cleaned them up and new everything except for the Comp Springs i had, which he tested for me. Great engine shop for anyone in the Cleveland Ohio area that needs work done. I was real happy with everything including the price
