Well if you ever get bored with it, here is a guy that just did an LS1 swap into an x-runner. Not sure if you are a member there or not..

Awesome! That's actually one of the reasons I bought the X-Runner......light truck, handles well, has plenty of room for a blown LSx/6L90e setup! But that is many many useful years down the road brother! Right now it's purpose in life is as a daily commuter and a glorified parts runner! Now if I only had about 8lbs of boost running through it I'd be set!!!! hint, hint, cough, cough

Ordered some Bridgestone Potenza RE760's...........Got 56k out of the original RE050's if you can believe that!

I was surprised as hell to see that Costco was the cheapest place to get a quality set of "name brand" UHP Summer tires installed!

Should be a nice jump in dry performance with a slight drop in wet performance going from the RE050's to the RE760's

comparison here:
between the two tests you can see where the 760's would break out so I'm happy with my selection

Got the new tires installed yesterday and I have to mostly agree with the reviews I've read on them.......that said......my initial observations after some mixed driving compared to the RE050's:

1. tires are made in Indonesia
2. sidewall rubber compound is extremely soft, can't remember feeling a softer sidewall compound in any tire
3. initial turn-in feel seems slightly less precise
4. dry grip is noticeably higher
5. the ride is much improved (more compliant)
6. road noise is slightly louder on some road surfaces

Overall I'm very happy with what I consider an upgrade in tire choice. Dry grip is actually pretty ridiculous, lol!

Costco was a pleasure to deal with as well.....tire disposal, install, nitrogen fill, balance was $30 ($60-$30 coupon thing they have going on), also got rid of the stock outer wheel weights and went with the taped inner wheel weights (wish I would have done that sooner!)
