Awesome build. I'm not a huge fan of the Esky clip, but you're going all out fo' sho', so I'm definitely going to keep an eye on this one.

I love the sig, too.

sorry when i start going to town on a project i forget to take pics

14b was out of a 93 light duty 3/4 ton 4x4. It had 3:73's in it already which is the gear i wanted.

I cut the perches off and moved them over from 47 1/2" (88-98 center to center) to 49" (99-06 center to center). The bump stops and shock mounts are within a 1/8" of each other so I didn't move them. I have a friend that works at a machine shop made me spacers to shim out the caliper mounts/backing plates. they are rotated an 1/8 turn because the flange is [] on 88-98 and ,<> on a 99-06. The discs and calipers are dual piston from a yukon/tahoe. some people say regular truck rotors wont clear the outer diameter of the axle flange on an obs 14 bolt but my suv brakes did. Installed tru-trac, all new bearings and seals, TA performance diff girdle, and the new 1350 yoke I had on the 10 bolt (splines are the same on pinion).

Also, that RCSB looked like it was clean as hell when you got it. Mind divulging how much you paid for it? Thanks.

I bought it 3 years ago from beastmode for 5k. That was the main reason i bought it being so clean.

I saw that in his earlyer post, but thank you. I was Just curious if he used a factory 4x4 truck housing with 6 lugs or did he get one from a suburban and peice it together.

I always like to see how people modified their stuff...

We have plenty of junk yards near me but the 4x4 6 lugs are still kinda hard to find. Suburbans on the other hand and the shorter 2x4 truck ones are a dime a dozen.... I have been looking into modifing them with new tubes and brackets for a bolt in application since the VHO and SS ones are so hard to get. Not to mention they use a smaller axle bearing and shaft... there actually breaking the shafts In the TBSS right at the flange...

Nice spacer!!! Atomic Needs some...
I will be makeing new flanges soon so they can be welded on and you can clock the brakes like the NBS style housing... see my template pictures...

The brakes rotors fit but not axles have a chamfer on them. Like atomics... He cracked the rotor.
I Have 4 of them. 2 OBS 2 NBS... Yes I have a Sickness!!!
Although I already know, I will be document the specific differencess with specific details and pictures soon.

yea its not that complicated. any gearhead can measure the difference in flange mounting height for the brakes, it was just easier at the time for me to do the spacers than the flanges. The axle flange to axle flange is the same width as 99-06 1o bolt, so it works out perfect. I probably have about $800 total in this axle with trutrac, bearings, cover, brakes, rotors, spacers, hardware, etc. people pay 2 g's for a vho or ss housing and its got drums and a gov bomb.

unless there wrecked...

Then every one is scared to buy it...

Actually the OBS 4x4 6 lug is 1/2 inch shorter side to side, but is so negligable it works out perfect...
