I'm really thinking about the Vinci Trucker. I I know Crane make a 114 lsa version. Still thinkin haha. Could also go with a custom grind through Texas speed.
I still have to order my pistons, so I'm trying to save up for them. Going with either Wiseco or Mahle's. Trying to get a good deal on them.
As of right now, the block is loaded up in the surfacing machine and ready to be surfaced. Should have it done this week and ready to get the cylinders honed

Yeah why not haha. Still taking donations for mine too haha.

I feel that the Trucker, or the 114 version (probably wouldn't even notice a difference), would be perfect for what described as your intended goals, but that's just my opinion

Yeah I think I'm going to be pretty happy with that set up. I'm probably going to be picking up a set of 030'' over Mahle Pistons and Injectors from Lee (Sloxcab) so it'll end up being a 370 instead of a 365. I'm going to end up getting a better deal on those pistons than a new set of 005 overs. Bigger is never a bad thing haha.

Sounds good man...hopefully I can work up some scratch. Got home today with a summons to go to court on the 27th as my ex-wife is now demanding almost $6400 that I owe her, but haven't been able to pay as I can barely pay my rent and utilities...but you never know what the future holds...

And a get Terry's toys good foundation charity...

well me myself I would not go with a small cam. I know alot of guys swear by the but they usually put a cam and stall in at the same time. I put a circle d 2800-3200 stall in and kept the stock cam in and dropped 6 tenths in the 1/8 alone. I have a 224/228 581/588 on a 112+2 in my 178,000 mile 5.3 and love it. the only thing I would or will be changing is I am going to install 4.10 gears right now I am still running stock 3.42's. but the choice is yours my friend we are just trying to help you spend less in the long run!

We'll see what I cam I end up going with. Going to be a custom grind.
UPDATE I finished surfacing the block last night, and finished getting the paint off the gasket surfaces. Will post pics when I get home from work.
