Coming soon sleeper build
So this is going to be for me the ultimate sleeper build. Ala farm truck. It will be a 99-06 style truck. I have seen many beat up high mile 4.8/5.3 trucks in my area going for about 2-3k. I plan to get the cheapest on possible. From here it gets more fun.
I would really like a 4x4 model which will cost around $500-1000 more however the sleeper effect of the lame 4x4 sticker and the traction aid of converting to AWD will be huge.
80e swap and locker rear with 4.10s will be among the very first mods. A 3600 stall for good measure.
This will be a nitrous build that will being life blowing up the 4.8/5.3 quickly before going LQ4 and eventually 370. This being done on a budget to start. Cam will be aggressive maybe a 224/230 LSA 115(to keep the chop down)in the smaller motor. 243s kept stock for now.
Longtubes hidden under obscene amounts of exhaust wrap and a custom heat shield I plan to build. The exhaust will include a very very large magnaflow to mask the exhaust note.
For the nitrous I plan to use a NX mainline kit with a 200shot all hidden below a large engine cover. I may even keep the stock air box initially.
Thanks to the AWD it should hook nice on the street. Should be enough to hurt some feelings and take some money from the local ricer boys.

I feel ya on the rcsb trucks, I gave 1750 for mine and it was a steaming pile of ****! Owned by an 18 year old punk, daddy bought it for him. Only thing good was the front and rear axles. I replaced front/rear glass, trans, rebuilt xfer case, all brakes, motor, front hubs. I had about 3500 in it just to get it on the road!!!!
