Thanks... the hd grille/bumper combo of your truck inspired me.

Bumper and cap will be red. Valance will be black.

Initially I had planned on the chrome center bar to be vinyl wrapped in black for fear of paint not sticking to the chrome. But, all of the shops I took it to, wouldn't touch it because of the curves near the end. So, I figure if I'm going to have to paint it, I'm going with the red for now, but may buy another grille for the center bar, paint it black and swap'em out occasionally. Had any paint problems with your center bar?

No issues what's so ever with the paint on the center bar or grill as a whole. Only issues I've had with paint has been on the lower valance and the plastic step on the rear bumper. The type of plastic of those two items is really poor for paint adhesion it seems. The rest of the truck, plastic or metal has been fine.
Really looking forward to seeing the finishing touches on this truck and what you do.
I would love to see an all black and red truck (including wheels). I think that would be very cool and unique.

Thanks for the compliment.

No additional pics. Truck sits like the last one posted. Been working through like five different SES code issues. Crap is driving me mad.

It is, but the interior is gutted. Guess you didn't get my email on the tube. The angle coming out of the stock air box vs the K&N are different, so I don't think the tube will work. I'd hate to get it, cut it up and it not work. But thanks for the offer. I'm looking at Spectre tubing to build my own. You could send me the procharger tube, but you'd need to send me the procharger for it to work properly. Will this work for ya? hehe.

Dash was peeling. Powerwashed it to strip all the factory grey. Prepped and painted with SEM satin black. Interior will be '03 charcoal and black.

Mocked up '03 dash bezel and console. GM doesn't make anything easy. The HVAC panel needed to be lowered about 5/8". Found numerous threads on this mod. Also, I had to file on the bezel a little at a time to get it to fit the contour of the HVAC panel. Oh, and my $40 ebay leather wheel (it's in great shape). Came out great if I say so myself.

looks awesome!

I think the cleanest simplest interior is that dash with the full length console in a regular cab like that

How did the SEM satin turn out compared to a factory black finish? I need to paint my charcoal one black.

I wonder how the bottom part (thats still charcoal in your pics) would look in red, (thinking C5 Z06 interior) might be too much tho

Thanks for the compliment.

I've actually never seen a black factory interior. But, when I powerwashed the gray from the dash it was black, but it was too shiny for me. I tried the SEM Landau Black, but still it to was too shiny - why I opted for the satin. The shiny black just looked too much like plastic, even though it is plastic - but, you get the idea.

I've thought about red, but not really sure, may be too much for me. Could be a future mod, who knows. I change my mind about as often as a woman changes tampons. lol
