Picked up an 06 4L80E Last night, so this will be part of the project now. suggestions for crossmember mods/driveshaft welcome...

Sadly enough, Ive been on this one going on 2 years, but I built both crews in that time, and now rebuilding my silverbirch truck again too....

Lol. My build was going along nice till I got a killer deal on a 5.3. Now it's on hold an working on heathers truck. 2/4 goes on this week then start swap.

Sounds like me and 425 for the 6L and 80E. Truck will be great with the 5.3 and drop. Looks so good on tbss. Already put another inch on the silver birch truck, and gonna have the tbss powered.

My transmission mount had to be moved back 3-4" but the driveshaft mounted in the same location. Maybe your setup will need to be moved back 5-6" amd shorten your dshaft some ?

Yea Ive seen some just move the trans crossmember back and drill 4 new holes. Thats what Im doing. I also need suggestions on the drive shaft.

Was hoping youd chime in, what setup exactly were you running? Cant remember specifics in my old age lol

Luckily enough, Huge driveshaft shop down the street from work. Right next to the frame shop that does my alignments, So, itll likely get trailered to be aligned, and driveshaft handled, or a new, better balanced one made.

Got the springs and rear back under it, flip, notch, played with some nbs bumper fitment.

Damn... What did you use on the frame??? It looks silver/grey and has a nice contrast.
