Default Little ones first hot rod

starting dicking with this old radio flyer today for my little girl and soon to be here son. Need to pick up a some new stainless hardware to replace all the old. flat stock or plate steel to build the front subframe. Paint. Clearing the body. black for the chassis. Got a buddy bringing me some go cart slicks to see how they look on the rear but I'm digging the skinnys for now. Pics are mocked up ride height. Will post as I find time to work on it if there is an interest.

You can still find them, I bought my 2 year old 1 last year. I did have to get the 1 with pneumatic tires though. That looks killer!

I did a quick glance on eBay before I started on this. you can still find them but I'm sure it's getting harder. It's funny, I didn't think twice about cutting the frame on my truck but I'm still struggling with cutting this up. Nothing so far has been done that I can't reverse but I do plan on cutting down the wood sides to give it a better profile.

Started building the front subframe today. Off for the next week so I'll probably wrap it up between yard work and hopefully getting the frame notched on the daily.

That is awesome. I really want to do something like this for my girls once I have a little better shop setup.
