Also, does anyone know what the correct length pushrods would be? I've been told that the 7.4's are actually longer than necessary.

No, that's only if I was doing the whole motor swap. I'm just doing the L92 heads with LY6 truck intake and a cam.

dont get caught up in flow numbers

its not all about the flow its how it flows, i have now witnessed 243 heads performing just as good if not better than the l92 heads, on another note it also involves how the valvetrain is setup

I've taken that into consideration skeet. What I don't like about the sdpc heads is how they enlarged the intake runner ao much to achieve more flow. Both wcch and trick flow stuck with stock or undersized intake runners, increased velocity and picked up improved flow over stock. Sound right to you? Haha. I know you're probably one of the best around to ask for advice. Thanks everyone!

cause thats 2 companies that know how to port

last thing you want is air to swirl around the valve stem thus is why its so important to talk to the person or person's who's gonna do the porting, feel them out see what they know, a good porter will explain what can and will be done, over porting is a waste specially on a small cubed motor, take my 408 for instance i wanted the stage 3 ls3 heads from WCCH but after talking to my builder now he basically told me it was a overkill not that it would work well but WHY? unless i was gonna go with a large cubed 440 + then those heads would shine up top

So do you think wcch stage 2 L92s are too much for my setup?

Bump...anyone have any opinions on the wcch stage 2 l92s for my build? Stock cubed motor and stock bottom end. Also going to be adding about a 100-150 shot of juice. I found a set of the stage 2s for a freakin steal so I'm thinking that's the way to go.

WCCH heads are awesome, though i never ran a set of them, i can tell by just looking at them, there well machined and ported nicely, i was gonna go with the level 3 heads from them on my 408 but after studying the heads and talking to my builder i would only be using less than 50% thus i'll use the ls3 heads i have.

food for thought: make sure you get the hollow valves, REV makes a great valve, do NOT use the stock l92 head valves there prone to break.. 100-150 shot is nothing, they'll work perfectly fine. i plan on a 400 shot on the 408 using the heads i have now
