Default K2 Silverado - Dual motor conversion

My daughter looked at me one day and said I want a truck like daddy's. So I bought her one. Then she looked at me and said she needs more power so she can go rock crawling with daddy. So I did what any dad would do. Ditched the single 6v 10,000rpm motor, installed 2 12v 30,000rpm motors. Was just going to run it but decided to take it to the next level and build a brand new harness out of 16ga wire and dual 12v 30a relays. Need to grab some disconnects and finish the harness and then we should be good to rock and roll.

If its worth doing, its worth overdoing. Funny how a request from a little kid gives you the motivation to spend tons of time on their project! My nephews wanted to be Ghostbusters last Halloween. I bet I have 50 hours in custom proton packs. Totally worth it!

Good job man, that's what good guys do.

I'll be impatiently waiting for a video of this!

My daughter knows how to pull my strings for sure. She loves going fast in the charger or bombing around in the blazer.

I converted a twin motor barbie car from 6v to 12v using a dual battery setup, and put serpentine belts across the tires (think paddle tires). We had some great times with that thing, It had enough grunt it would climb up the side of the house ( don't ask how we found out lol). I modified several ride ons for her through the years. Awesome project you have going!!

Getting ready to do this to my sons Denali. I cut up mountain bike tires then wrap them around the rear tires on the Denali then used self tapping screws to hold the on. Gives you a tone of traction.
