I hit 1k but it was through a 6 speed with dual 255's. I'm not sure if it will do the same through an auto. I've always heard that 1 single will do 600ish so i would think that 2 would make it fo you...

Wow, your Tahoe looks so great. Nice build. I would really like a SUV like that with 1,xxx rwhp. In for updates.

Not much progress, been busy with work. Got my intake in, discovered my injectors need spacers on the top of them to use the holley fuel rail. I dislike the look of this intake, but didn't really have any other options.

Thanks for the compliments guys, everyone tells me to do this in a foxbody or older body style camaro... but it wouldn't be like my tahoe.

I am trying to decide if I should sell this ISKY triple 12 out of the 4.8. The cam doesn't have many miles on it, but it has spots on it that look like foreign metal may have hit it. Where it sits in the bearings is perfectly smooth though.... all of the lobe surfaces are also smooth. There is 1 small nick on the side of one of the lobes but not where the lifter rides. Opinions? Buyers?

I would run something bigger than the triple 12 if it were me. It would definitely have perfect street manners though with those cubes.

I am absolutely not running a triple 12 in this engine. I was talking about selling the triple 12 that came out of my 4.8 since I have no use for it.

I went out to the garage and tinkered some. Removed my crossover pipe that was still chilling in the bottom of the engine bay. Also installed my trick flow steam vent kit. I was going to set up the fuel system on the intake, but I'll just wait until I get spacers for the injectors. Need to get this balancer beaten onto this motor so I can throw it in.

Thinking about painting the top half of this intake black... still undecided.

good deal! I guess I read your post wrong the first time. The intake would look pretty good black!

What are you going to use to press the balancer on?
