Nobody has brought up weight transfer. Static weight distribution and weight transfer under braking are two different things. And the only dragsters that I know of that don't have front brakes, have motorcycle front tires and two-foot wide rear tires.

Oh, and all these "dragsters" you speak of without front brakes... Are rear engined and extremely long wheelbase keeping the weight on the rear wheels... Deleting the front brakes would work great if you drag raced in reverse

Ive never taken anything down a strip but dont they have officials to check for things like this, even at the local small tracks? I wouldnt imagine they let any vehicle out there without being sure of some basic saftey measures.

Just drive everywhere with the chute deployed. Then you won't need the front brakes. Problem solved.

Many people have brought these up and I have taken them into consideration. Again another thing that no one really knows until it is tried out. I can easily see the rears just locking up and not offering enough traction. I can also see a chance that there will remain enough weight on the rears for stopping the truck from 100mph over the length of 1/8th-1/4 mile shut down area.

I am able to see the downsides of both of the big controversial projects. I just bank on the side of optimism vs. the side of ignorance and refusing to see reality.

I think you are the only one standing on that side.
