HD hood install, fabbing begins, plus my likes and dislikes :)
Ok today is nice as hell, fig wth. lets get started.. Off with the old hood, on with the HD hood.. Like you would think the hood does fit nice, other then the areas that need to be modded to get it to work with the gmc truck.. IMO this is the way it should start out.. The hood should first be put on, all the seams, lines lined up.. next is to take and make a template of the front of the sierra hood, then fasten or stick it to the silvy hood.. I will add pics, all as I go on this for the guys who might want to do this in the future.. A few likes about this hood. It looks badass on a non HD silvy truck. Even before it is cut it looks evil, the lines flow better then I would have thought.. The hd hood has a small raised line up the center, that i was not aware of initially. Also the back of the hood has a slight roll/ flare up in the outer edges, again not a prob, just a diff beast then I am used to seeing.. My biggest gripe is the hood seems to sit back further on the front of the top grille edge then it did before. But this can be expected since it is not made to fit the truck.. I might be pointing out things that mean **** to the average person, but I am extremely picky.. Again will update the thread as i go..

I would point and laugh in ur face if you did that ^.. it will be well worth the time spent when its done.
I just dont have any body work skills to do such thing like u... Hell i dont even know how to take a fender off correctly, i usually just mes with raw metal fabrication.
so far so good though keep us up on pics

Ok got the hood pretty damn lined up on the truck.. few issues with the corners, that I will address, but none the less the lines are actually better lined then on my factory hood was.. Tweaked the hinges a tad, to get it to set right.. About as good as I can get it.. So far have made 2 cuts, to get the brow looking good.. Finishing up that side now, then to fill and make the lip. So far so good
The corners are a lil diff then my sierra hood, I will round these to match the fenders
First cut
2nd cut
