Default harold a 66 c10

I built a 66 gmc swb bbw 3 years ago. I tossed in a 350 left the stock top loader trans. I bought an 01 2wd burb for the 5.3l. the plan is to put the 5.3 I it with a 5 speed trans. i'm on a budget thanks to trying to buy a house and having other projects in similar stages.

I would like to put down as close to 400hp as I can. im looking for valve train suggestions to get me to my goal.

Most will tell you to just upgrade the trunnion in the stock rockers. Beyond that not much else is needed for your goals.

Cool truck btw

uggggghhhhhhhh. These trucks are so sweet!

If it was me I'd do a cam, carb, valve springs, trunion upgrade, pushrods, some ls7 lifters and let it scream to 7000rpm.

If one of these trucks ever comes up for sale locally I may have to buy it!

Good luck.
