There is/was a shop in OKC that would do that to Samurai's. Great lookin' project. Nice looking welds. should hold together nicely.

Thanks for the compliments the bed will be custom made not exactly sure how long yet but It shouldn't extend past those frame rails but a couple inches. It will house the fuelcell and also have a tool box on it. There are going to be some tube rails on it and a headache rack on it with a few dimple dies.

As for the drivetrain well that is what I am on this site to learn about. I know I want to replace my 4l60 with a 4l80e and I would also like to build a 6.0 I just don't know where to start and all. I would like to build something around 400 to 450hp that the torque will rip the ***** off a mule. So later in the build when I am ready to start on the motor I will be inquiring about what to do. I just feel that I should start with a solid platform and build around that.

50 posts doesn't take that long. Just get around asking some legit questions and you will be able to post your parts.

If you want to build a killer motor you should look into a 408. It is a 6.0 stroked and a simple 408 will make 400+ hp and with better parts it can easily make much more.

Good luck and again awesome truck!

Not what I was expecting when I clicked on this, and I've really never been into this sort of thing but................Awesome project. Your fab work looks damn good. Kick *** for doing it yourself. I be checking in frequently to see this thing come together.

Not sure where your from but there is a company called Texas Auto Gear in Houston Texas that builds a ton of stuff just like this. If you live here you should def. go check them out. They do amazing things with mud trucks/jeaps and rock crawlers. They build my rearends.
