You're good man. Turns out my oil pump went out and ate the main and rod bearings..... So don't use melling oil pumps. It was brand new and the oil pump ate itself which caused it to pump metal straight into my motor along with minimal oil. STAY AWAY FROM MELLING PUMPS!!!!

I would be giving melling a call and seeing what they are willing to do because their part cost you some serious failure. But that's just me. I still believe in companies standing behind their products and staying accountable.

I am using a factory pump despite everyone telling me to use a melling. Never heard anything bad about melling before, just also never had a problem with a stock GM pump personally.

Well since I've had to rebuild my motor I decided to get something to daily drive while my truck is down. 82 C10: lq9 swapped, ls6 cam, efans, built 4l80 and air ride. Runs like a champ and rides amazing.
