All same harnesses as long as you don't try and put a Gen IV 6.0 in it. I'm pretty sure even then they're the same plugs, you just have to move some sensors around.

Make sure you get a cable driven or pre 2003 engine. If you've got a cable driven throttle body and return style fuel lines you have to stick with that. You can re-use your original intake and fuel rails if you want from the 5.3. Or you can install drive by wire. Don't get a 6.0 built in '99 or '00 or else the output shaft from the crank wont be able to mate to your 4l60e.

I would suggest installing a corvette servo and a better torque converter to help your tranny last a little longer.

It's a very strait forward swap. Flexplates are different between the two motors so if your using the torque converter that bolts up to the 5.3, you will need to make sure and bolt your old flex plate on.

Not necessarily. If he gets an '03 or later engine, all he has to do is swap his stock intake/throttle body onto it.

Also fuel rails then. If his system is a return style, he would have to cap his return line. The OP needs to let us know what he is working with
