That is what I speculated considering the construction of the caliper being bolted together. Thanks for the confirmation.

But at 1 time I had 10, yes 10 2wd 4L80E's

So you determined the 4 pot caliper will work alright with the 13" rotor then? I thought the pad wasn't contacting the rotor enough, or are you just going to experiment on that part?

I see this is raising some questions and Dan sucks at explaining

he is doing the T1 4 pot swap up front and leaving the rear OE to the H2, which is equivalent to the NBS 1500 front

I am doing the 4pot swap on the front which is what I ordered parts for. I will mock up a 4 pot with pads this time to see what the contact area would be like but I don’t have high hope. If I ever run across another 8x6.5 pattern rotor that’s bigger I will take the time to try it but just about everything I searched was 13” or less or was very obviously not gonna work due to offset.

It may be possible to make spacer plates to move the caliper closer to the center of the rotor but I won’t know until I mock it up again.

You are correct sir.
I was thinking about this today, the front brakes a typically on a SUV with a GVW of 7.5k. The rears are rated for a HD truck with a GVW of 9.2k. This truck will weigh just under 5k (last time I weighed with me in it was 4,800ish) It’s also been hydro boost swapped and has stainless lines everywhere. I have a feeling this **** gonna stop very very good, with just the factory brakes up front, drums out back, and the hydro boost it would throw you into the dash. I’m assuming the limiting factor in stopping speed/distance with the new brakes will be traction. The Tahoe already rides that edge engaging the ABS on a full pedal stop, it’s a great feeling having more braking power than the road can handle without ABS.

Kinda a rant but it’s exciting to think of what’s to come.

Still needs a line lock thooooo
