well.. i got bit by the bug..
just got my mezeiere water pump.. got my oil pump, got my ls2 HD timing chain and gears...
got 243 heads. and i just got a call from a buddy who had some cnc ported 243 heads.. so i got those on order..
now it onto the short block ..... thinkin HKE 408.

and later..
what i PLAN on .. but who knows if it gets side tracked.. is the procharger..

Thanks man. right now im dealing with a bad transfer case.. and as soon as wifey and i pay off the tv we bought.. its 408 planning time...

 

did you get the TC rebuilt? ask if the case has any damage...they can get out of rounds from pump wear.

I would love to see a 408 rung out.

 

no i did not get it rebuilt. i have purchased a used one and im going to swap that out.. then take the original and get that rebuilt as a spare.. very little downtime that way.

nope. in fact, i just lost out on the 408

 

got the TBSS intake and TB from an 09 TBSS. (check my other post for my Q's on it), complete with fuel rails, and injectors that i wont be using.. ill sell those shortly.
I got my Nitrous kit ready to be manipulated into place.
I am putting some money down on some newly done up ported N polished 317 TEA heads.
in about 3 weeks or so.. i put money in for the 408 shortblock.
Got the EWP standing by, and some parts coming back from the polisher today.

 

Sounds like a sweet build. What HP/TQ #'s are you expecting when it's complete?
