Still working on it. Everything is back together just working on getting the shims right to get the right backlash. I have had that carrier in/out about 3-4 times.

Also my retard moment of the day. The bolts that hold the ring gear on are reverse threads. I was not aware. When i removed the old gear set i just hit it with my new impact and broke every bolt. Awesomeness. I just figured they were locited i. From the previous install. The. When i put on the new ring gear i noticed they were reverse threaded.

We only laugh because you got it taken care of and no people or animals were hurt in the process.

Ok ok.

In the write it says to beat the pinion out with the old nut still attached. Well that worked great except the old nut end caves inward when you do that.

Then you go reassemble the new pinion with the old nut. Well it threads about 3/4 of the on there then it starts breaking apart. Pieces of metal poking out the end. Well i thought i screwed the ned pinion up. Luckily it was just the nut. After getting it off i hit it with the grinder and all is well.

Oh and the smell of gear oil is horrible. I forgot to take off my shoes and i tracked that **** all in the house. Luckily it was on the tile.

I am sure there are more. Honestly somedays i shouldn't own tools
