next up is removal of the drivers side head to replace a broken exhaust bolt . While i am there i am replacing all the gaskets, oil pump and timing chain..

Since you have a welder, it's really easy to just remove the exh manifold, then weld a nut or bolt onto the broken off piece that's stuck in the head. It will come right out. Works EVERY time, I promise.

yeah it is not broken off flush.... It is broken about half way down as far as i can tell... A bolt used to thread partly into it then just stop.... I have never heard of one breaking off half way into the hole before...

I'm pretty sure my truck is your twin. I like the 2/4 you made with a flip kit. I may steal your idea. I've got a flip and its too low for the roads around here. Good build bud!

That's still a candidate for welding. I've done it a few times. Build the bolt up with your weld, a little bit at a time. Then weld a nut onto the bead that you built up in the hole. It works.

Unless you need to pull the heads for another reason anyways.

The weld wont stick to aluminum right?
