one thing to know, the 8.8 needs to be narrowed. it's wider than the s10 rear and the pumpkin is also offset about 3". i'm searching for a s10 8.5 that i can just toss some upgraded axles and carrier at.

 

It doesnt have to be narrowed, it can be run the way it is. Makes it easier to run a wider rim and fatter tire.

yeah it sticks out a 1" further, not sure if thats both sides or 1/2 on each side! mitch@ragemotorsports is doing a S10 also and he put an explorer rearend in his, hes mounting welds on his, he mentioned though they were 15" rims he still has to grind on the calipers

anyway when i get ready ill start buying parts, in no rush right now and yet to decide whos turbo setup im going with.


it'll be budget somewhat, as i have to get red caged! im starting to get warned at my local track, though they hadnt kicked me off but fred has mentioned a few times that he would like to see a cage in my truck lol

with a turbo lq4?? easily faster than low 10 with the right setup. i'm assuming you're going with a rear mount turbo?
