Hey Roger! Yep. Just when I meet somebody to learn some good tuning from you move away! Lol. Hope all is well. I have been following your Camaro also! Good looking first gen! Wish you were still around. Most of the guys around here are al about who is better or faster rather than just enjoying it and helping each other out.

As for the truck. I'm still figuring things out. Made a few choices I wish I had done differently but I think this thing should get some good times this summer. I would really like to see a 10.99, but that might be dreams. I got a little carried away with just changing a cam and intake. Haha

Little update-

Had a chance to take the truck to the track again. Got to make 5 runs with it. It did way better than I expected it to. Still learning how to launch it but did good.

And yes, I know my 22" wheels are killing my times also. I will start looking for some other wheels and tires now. I still have my stock 20's but I think I will check to see if some 17's will fit over my baer brakes.

Check it out. And THANK YOU Richard!

**** watch out for that mountain lol

Who woulda thought...........a drag strip at the North Pole. What are the typical D/A's there during the unfrozen period? Also, how many months a year would you say the weather is good enough for hot rodding? Just curious.

Thx for the vids

What's cool about your truck is, you can drive it from North Pole to Palmer (6.5 hours), click off a mid 11 second pass, then drive it another 6.5 hours home.

HAHA, the track is in Palmer. About 400 miles south of North Pole where I live. There is only 1 race track in all of Alaska. It is an awesome setting though! I try to make it there a few times per year.

I didn't check DA that day. The altitude at the track is 75ft. So it is usually pretty good. I know the day before I was at the track it was at -250 da and today it is -552 today. So I'm sure it was pretty good on Sunday.

Done that quite a few times haven't we Roger!!

I hate to admit it, but I actually trailered it down to the track this time. My old setup use to get about 15-16mpg on the highway so it was super easy to make the decision to drive it down. Now, I get about 10-11 on the highway and that's if I can keep my foot out of it. When towing it down with my 2014 2500hd 6.0 it gets about 11-12mph. That makes it a no brainer for me now. I am kinda expecting something to eventually break and that way I have a way to get it home 400 miles on the trailer.

Roger, I am pretty excited to turn this thing up. But they got all crazy on me at the track about a cage if I break a 11.49. They talked to me two different times after runs. I really don't want to put a cage in my street truck but I would really like to see my turned up times. I wonder if I can get a 6-point to fit inside an ext. cab with out exiting the back? I might check into it.

that sucks they're so stingy, especially since stock vehicles are running 10s now.
