It will be neat when it is done. It just looks a little awkward right now.

Still rounding up parts.

I got a pair of ZQ8 sway bars. I never realized the front sway bar was so MASSIVE.

I finished stripping the wrecked truck. I have the fuel tank I have been needing. Hoping to triple my money on the wrecked truck, which means, MORE MONEY FOR THE HONEY..ERRR VANILLA

I went to my buddies salvage yard again this morning. I have my eyes on dual piston front disc brake setup and a rear disc brake axle off from a 98 S-10 blazer. He has 3 or 4 of them, so I might be able to get it all for a song.

I am going to cut the rear frame off the wrecked s-10 tonight and hang on to it. I am thinking I might use sections of a factory frame to join the sides of the frame together. I want to stiffen the frame up in the back, but I don't want to fully box it. I figure I will give this a shot before I go buy new metal and try to fabricate something.

I am thinking about removing the back bumper and the connectiong sides together, then putting the bumper back on. Then if that works, put a second one where the shocks are. I also plan to run a ZQ8 style bar between the front bed mounts. I figure that should stiffen it up quite a bit without adding a ton of weight.

Looks cool.

Why not have the factory wheels widened? You can keep the sweet sleeper hub caps and fit a reasonable tire under the back. Put a quiet exhaust on it and you will have a quick super sleeper!

I can get wheel vintique wheels that use these centers WAY cheaper then I could have them widened. Also, these wheels are only 14's, and they will not clear the rear disc brakes I plan to swap over. So 15x8 re-makes using the factory dog dish centers. I don't think anyone will catch it.

I am looking at getting the dual piston front brake setup 98 blazer which requires 15's and the rear disc brake setup from the same truck which requires 15's as well.

Gotcha. Sounds awesome. Sleeper yet slightly custom.

Plus 15" helps in the tire selection! Seeing as 14s are almost obsoleat!

I want the go and the woo without advertising it. Add in the ZQ8 sway bars, and my planned rear frame brace, plus the beltech rear drop leaves I am planning to go pickup tonight, it might just turn corners as well.
