Default 69' c10 lq4 swap

well guys, thought i would make a build thread of the truck. The old man and I call it the black hole, because nothing went right and we never got it done for power tour. Its a 69 c10 short box. Goin for the rat rod look. It originally had a 6 cyl and a 4 speed.

pulled the 6 out and started mocking up the motor mounts

we picked up a 2004 lq4 longblock with a bad piston pin in #1. got that replaced and painted the block and installed a 228r cam and some pac springs

also shaved the truck intake, and valve covers. wont do that again, as i have about 20 hours into it

decided to go with a t-56 trans and a ls7 clutch. the shifter came out under the seat, so i cut and bent the old 4 speed shifter to make it fit and welded it to the cheap ebay shifter i got. looks old skool.
