This is exactly what I'm planning on doing within the next year to my 71 GMC.

Couple of questions:
1. Who's kit did you use for your suspension drop? 4/6"?
2. What kind of mileage have you been seeing?
3. What gears in are your running?
4. Looking for swap recommendations - mounts, headers, wiring harness. Any info would be great. I've read quite a bit over on 67-72chevytrucks.com but it's always nice to hear opinions on products.

Nicely done, well executed!

Front suspension is cpp 2 1/2 spindles 2" coils. I honestly haven't checked the mileage. The gears im also not sure of they the same ones that were in it when i drove it with the orig 6cyl 3 speed. I should have checked when i had the axles out but i forgot, they seem to be a tall gear thow. I used the stock mounts and made my adapter plates from some 1/4" steel i had. Headers are Dynatech lsx swap headers for a 2 nd gen camaro, they do hang a tad below the frame but no lower than the oil pan.
