Im bulding this thred for my buddie. Hes got a bad *** '66 chevy truck given to him drom his grandpa. As far as i know it has a gen1 5.3 bored 30 over, he has a set of camle pump heads? And summit racing 214/224 cam with a 700r4 tranny. Ill post pictures and update when we start working on it. Hes shooti g 400-450 to the wheels any ideas or part aites wpuld be greatly appricated tha ls for the help guys

Sounds like he is calling a gen I 305 (5.0) a 5.3 bc its .030 over. A 5.3 is a Gen III, not a Gen I.

Idk? Im just going off the info he gave me? Ill find out next time i go ovet abd pull some numbers and see exactly what were working with....

The motor is a first gen 327. He has camle hump heads. And that cam. With a 700r4 tranny.
