Default 5.3 swap rcsb turbo 4x4 build.

So a year or two ago I bought this truck with a rod knocking 4.3. My plan was originally to part it out. After looking at it for a few days I changed my mind and started cleaning it up and fixing problems it had. I already had a different parts truck with a good 5.3 in it. So I spent a few nights after work and swapped over the motor, fast forward in time and now I'm ready to start the turbo build on it. I'll try to share anything I can if anyone wants to know anything, and im open to any suggestions anyone might have. Next few post I'll upload and try to tell a little bit about each build process , hope you enjoy it!

then I found some different wheels on Craigslist for it, some ebay centercaps.
I did the bodywork on the hood and my dad and myself sprayed it in my shop.

Got some 33" street mud tires and that's pretty much how the truck sits now. Baisly stock ready to be built.

So since the black truck is my daily driver I will be using my other project truck as my mock up platform. When everything is built and fittted I will swap it over to the black truck

So I knew I wanted a 4l80e trans for my truck as the 60's suck. I ended up finding a 4.8 2500 van with one for $500 with a salvage title. I don't know yet but I believe I'll be able to cut the 2wd output shaft down and mate my stock t case by changing only the input shaft on the t case. I sold the 4.8 for $500 to a friend and swapped his truck with it. I now use the van body as a shed for extra truck parts lol

Now onto the current project phase, I'm trying to slap a vs racing 78/75 kit on it. Using stock manifolds, 2.25 crossover and 3" intercooler and charge pipes. Hope to get around 600hp for now. One day my end goal is to keep modding stuff and get the truck down to a 9.99.

So far I don't have much to show for the turbo as parts will not be here for a few days but I started the manifold yesterday.
