2008 yukon build.....Err uh mod thread
#384
Been driving the yukon, working in the tune and working any bugs that arise out of it.... Have noticed i intermittently have a weird 1-2 and sometimes2-3 upshift, almost like it wants to shift but hangs momentarily usually under light load, more into the gas i am the less it does it! Thinking i have a valve starting to stick or possibly a slight pressure issue. I have a vette pan on the trans at the moment which is the same depth as the truck pan, but everything i have found says the vette take another quart of fluid, wonder if i dont need to add a quart and see if it clears up, but if that was the case i would think it would be more than just going into 2nd and 3rd...also wonder if it isnt a side effect of having the maf disabled!!! Only dtc set is the p0103 for the maf which i did on purpose.

One major problem so far. For tuning speed density and the VVE tables you need a few changes. Set your 3 MAF dtc's to fail on first error. This way is goes straight into SD because it's not wating for a second error. Set the high fail to 2hz and the low fail to 1hz.
On the VVE, you must make changes to both the manifold switch open and closed, currently you have only made changes to the closed table. Doing so if throwing everything off and that is a for sure reason why the VVE looks the way it does in the 3D model. It should be a smoother slope and not have a huge hill in the middle of it like it does now.
I would start over on the SD tuning. If you are using your wideband with an AFR Error, make sure to remove MAF channels from your Main table display.
Not tuning both parts of the VVE can cause other problems too because it's trying to use to different tables for data and that's why both need to be changed at the same time.
