Default 2007 NNBS 5.3L Build Help?

Hey Guys,

Looking to finally build my 2007 NNBS ccsb z71 w/5.3L (4x4). I've been trying to do as much reading on here as possible but I still have a few questions if anyone can help answer them.

Truck will be levelled or lifted on 33's or 35's so I would like to achieve a power level that would make the truck 'fun' to drive and not a geared down slug.

First I'm looking to add a turbo kit such as the trick performance stage 2 (or open to suggestions). However the truck has higher mileage (120k miles) and I'm not sure exactly how long a tired 5.3 will hold at these increased power levels.

Along with the turbo kit I'm looking to add some kind of heads/cam combination that would compliment a turbo kit (again open to suggestions). At this stage I'm wondering if I should replace with a new long block or perhaps gear my head and cam purchase towards eventually adding a new short block when the 5.3 bottom end lets go?

As far as the rest of the drivetrain, transmission upgrade? 4le80? and what to do with the factory transfer case? Will it hold the power?

Also E-85 is not available where I'm located and I will likely be adding methanol injection

Thanks in advance,

Keep ur stock block. Plenty strong for many miles to come if maintanance is kept up. First off is get rid the dod crap and as for a cam the tried n true isky triple 12 is a good one. Pm stock4.8 for info. The kit u mentioned will do fine as we have more or less the same kit on my 2010 5.3 but for tranny you may as well do a 4l80 first. The heads on the 07+ 5.3s are either 243/799 which are some of the best heads gm made so i wouldnt worry about those. As for gearing i couldnt help u there because my trucks dropped 4/7 on 31s with 4.10s so 2 different beasts there lol.

Great thanks, what kind of power output can I expect with such a set-up? Is there any other cam alternatives that are a bit more aggressive sounding? Also, how with the factory transfer case take the power? Build the stock 5.3 block when everything lets go?
