I decided to hold off on a stall and am going with a comp cams xr265hr cam, 212/218 .522 .529 - 114, and ls6 valve springs. Should I go ahead and buy hardened pushrods? Or will the stockers be okay?

If you are going to be in there, I would replace them.

I've been reading alot and it's a (somewhat) cheap upgrade, so yes do them, IIRC some dude with H/C/I/LT with 229/23x .596/59x cam made well above 370whp on 60/3.4 diff.

check the dyno section.

oh, Diff?

This is what was advised to me when I was doing my research, so I bought them. I paid $116 shipped I think from scoggin dickey. But I also read of a guy who didn't swap his and he was braggin about a high lift cam and running it hard with no problems. This is one of those "you might not HAVE to but cheap insurance" type things, and everyone will have a different opinion. And peoples definition of cheap varies widely! With a low lift cam and ~400 crank HP goals, I'm betting you can get by with stockers.

I just like to do stuff right the first time so it doesn't bite me in the *** later. I think most people know what I'm talking about. Sure the stockers would work but it is a guessing game on how hard the truck can be driven. And yes, it definitly is CHEAP insurance. Who knows how much power he will want to make down the road once he gets the itch.
