Truck is looking awesome. One of these days I'm gonna build one of those trucks in that body style. Also, I was just looking and the front crossmember for the ladder bar setup and was thinking to myself you might want to brace that up a little more. For some reason I could see that thing wadding up with a 6.0/88mm combo launching on boost with traction.

Why didn't you 4 link it? 2 more bars and differant tabs welded in up front? Seems like a now brainer to me but maybe I am missing something?

I agree with the last two posts... I think you may want to think about adding some bracing infront of the cross-member where your ladder bars mount up. Remember all the forward thrust pushing the truck forward is pushing through that cross-member.
Sounds like your new motor setup is going to need all the strength in the chassis you can get.
Truck is coming along really super!

This set up is proven, I have a friend with a long wheel base chevy full blown big block alcohol injected engine with the exact set up, hes pushing over 1,500 hp on a transbrake 400 trans and no problems, i myself was concerned about this untill i saw his setup.... i will take pics of his and post it when i go over there, thanks alot for the recommendations

I still say you are crazy. I would take 10lbs of safety over what you have now.
It may work but I can promise you it flexes and that means it isn't as fast as it could or should be again for only 10lbs. or less of backup.

Just put it this way he had a 1.32 60ft (Off Idle) with a 5.50 1/8 mile pass 8.90 in 1/4, with same set up, and sorry hes pushing 1,750 hp with his new 505, his 355 was 1275 hp, he did say that hes going to make the improvements in that area now that the big block is in, i just dont see no need in it at the moment due to me maybe being around the 800 rwhp range, if i see in the future that im having problems ill be sure to address it and i will send u some pics! haha thanks man

I think the picture you have in post 9 is deceiving. You can't see the supports you have welded in from the bottom. The picture in post 7 makes me feel a lot better. I would feel confident with what you have. Don't let anyone give you anymore grief about it.
