Steering wheel is on the list just way at the bottom haha hopefully by next week I’ll have the drop leafs in the rear and the front spring drop. Had it up on the thruway several times at 75+ with the cruise on, the strangest feeing after having drove it with the straight 6 and 3 on the tree 😂

What’s on your list right now? What’s next for the truck?

The 5.3 that’s in it is well broken in at 290k, and leaking from every gasket, so I’ve got a nice low mileage 06 6.0 out of my denali parts truck that has to go in before LSfest. And depending possibly putting a 4l80 in at the same time I have a pile of express pullouts. Thinking I’ll leave it stock besides long tubes but we’ll see. I’ve gotta weigh it, has got to be 1000lbs under a nbs stock weight. Scoots pretty good

With 66 days until ls fest trying to just put as many miles on it as possible while knocking things off the list. Finally got the suspension all done Belltech 3” drop springs in the front, Belltech 3” drop leafs with 2” drop shackles. Moving on to the interior, blasting and painting everything and getting the vintage air all fit. I did get my dash panel back in and opting to just leave the cts3 on the windshield. Looks way cleaner

This thing is so freaking rad on so many levels! I am in the process of doing a revamp of a 1970 Scout 800 for someone. It's been SLOW going waiting for certain parts. Basically I'm doing: long travel suspension with Scout II Dana 44s, 35" tires, LSA blown L33, Holley Terminator X, 4L80E, Dana 300 T Case from an 80s Jeep, Vintage heat & air.

The international trucks are awesome, I certainly didn’t seek this truck out, just happen to have a dealer license in nys, so it’s a non stop bad habit on the online and salvage auctions 😂 everyone does the ford, chevy, dodge, studa trucks so it didn’t take much convincing.

Default Update..

Getting way closer to LS fest than I wanted to be at this stage but I’d like to think there’s plenty of time still. Stripped the interior back down for paint now that I had most of the mock up done. Red oxide the whole cab inside and then just a single stage hot rod black, back masked the doors just to paint the interior faces. After a long wait rear glass arrived so that will be in on Monday and hopefully the doors back on. Haven’t decided on paint or powder coat for the dash yet. Door cards will match the seat and dash center inserts. All of my vintage air parts showed up, hopefully I have it all as everything has been out of stock everywhere. About $1000 into the a/c using the oem compressor

I had the seat re upholstered in a butterscotch already, it’s in a previous post. We’ll see how it looks all done. Cut the dash for a radio, Got the doors back on and mounted the bulkheads for the heat and a/c, had the rear glass installed. Strange after 3+ years without it. Waiting on a condenser because the fed ex guy drop kicked it and then I can finish plumbing the a/c
