Just trying to keep the deck clean. I already prepped it but don't have the heads or gaskets yet.

Waiting on parts, rear main seal will be here Tuesday, will be able to get that done, flywheel reinstalled, and crank pulley tightened down. Heads and head gaskets should be here by the end of the week also. Still keeping my fingers crossed that I can get the motor back together during the week, and put back in the truck over the weekend.

In the meantime, been cleaning parts. I love this Harbor Freight parts washer, totally worth the $100! The engine was nasty when I pulled it, loving having clean parts when it goes back together.

Did you buy the Aqueous cleaning solvent there too?

I bought their concentrated heavy duty stuff, can't remember what the name was. I have Simple Green in there now, I like it better.

Cool. I was wondering if it was worth buying.

I have used various degreasers but wasn't sure if this was worth trying or not.

It wasn't bad, just a much stronger chemical smell and I don't think it works quite as well as SG. But for a third of the price it might be a better value.

Got the rear main done tonight, flywheel and balancer reinstalled.

These Kent Moore tools are awesome, thanks to delong_1 and onebaddmaxxx for letting me use them!

I thought I had a pic of the front one in use also but I must have deleted it accidentally.

Let's see if I can remember all of the setups...went through 5 engines and 8 trannies in my old 2001 ECSB

Started with a stock 5.3/4L60E, then added a Radix, then a cam, then swapped to a 6.0 with the Radix, then added a 4L80E somewhere in there, then swapped to a 408 I think, then switched from the Radix to a turbo (can't remember what model), then upgraded to a kbracing turbo kit with a Garrett GT4202R (made my best power with this setup, ran a 11.27 @ 120mph and dynoed 575/640 to the wheels), then eventually tried a TVS2300 blower. Had a few issues with my oil pump relief valve sticking open and finally got sick of working on the truck, put it all back to stock and sold it.

Had a 06 GTO, 06 LBZ Duramax, 09 G8, 11 LML Duramax, and now this black truck since then.

I got one like 2 years ago, keeps mom happy by me not cleaning my parts in the kitchen anymore

Most of the time I use simply green unless it is real heavy gunk, I will use oven cleaner and the water hose out back!
