04 RCSB. Boost Truck
I bought this truck in 2004 with 1,800 miles on it. I used it to pull an enclosed trailer every day. The truck now has 198,000 miles and treated me great over the years. It's been sitting a while and I've always wanted to do something to it. I've finally decided to start the build.
Goal for this truck is an all around fun daily driver. A truck that stops good, turns good, and fries tires at will. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.per...b3f0d8ae83.jpg Took it to the car wash to knock some of the dust off. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.per...1354728ae3.jpg Started the tear down. Removed bed, engine, trans, brakes and lines, fuel tank, and cut out a few bars and brackets that won't be needed. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.per...9d4cb6fea6.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.per...c4fe5ffb52.jpg I have an aluminum fuel cell, LC9 short block, 243 heads, and a 4l80e to put in it. I'm still trying to decide on the turbo. It needs to spool instantly and still carry the rpms well. Also trying to decide if I should do 5 lug swap, 4 link, and what brakes to use. I also plan to lower it, roll pan, SS bumper, and cowl hood. |
Cool!!!

You swapping the reluctor or running a conversion box?

Spool instantly and carry the rpms eh...let me know when you find that one.
How much power do you want and how much do you want to spend? |

By any chance is this Ken Herring?

A loose converter will get the turbo to spool faster but you're still going to have some lag.
With a turbo, 3200-3500 would be a good start for a stall. |
