What's up everyone. New guy here to the PT site but a long time lurker. I've documented most of this build on GMFS way back in the day. Figured I'd make a thread on a site where this truck belongs now. Getting back to the forums as well so looking to share my build, experiences, and have some good convo's along the way.
Here's a link to that entire forum. This truck has had quite the life. From being my first truck, totaled in college, rebuilt, and now a kickass street/drag truck. https://www.gmfullsize.com/threads/a...306874/page-27
I keep coming back and looking at this truck. The interior is flawless, I like how you used gmt400 floor mats too. Personally I would like to see it lowered more but im just splitting hairs because this truck is so nice.
I had no idea up until now they were GMT400 floor mats! They were the ones already in the Denali I parted out and stole the interior from. I definitely want some weather techs though! I have the parts to make it a 3/5 drop but haven't had the time (and mainly don't feel like taking the bed off for the millionth time and swapping the hangers back to my stock ones lol)
The old days of forums was fun. I was in gmfs for many years in the early 2000s. I had a lot of lowered trucks and a cencal-ish Denali. My fleet has got smaller, down to 5 trucks now.
your interior has me motivated to do an OEM+ style work truck interior in mine. Add carpet, two tone the door panels and get the seats recovered in a king ranch style vinyl. I would like to add a console but need a jump seat since I want to enjoy the truck with my wife and daughter. I picked my daughter up from school in my s10 a few times, I enjoy driving my hot rods to school and pissing off the teachers and parents.
Exhaust update - Got some tail pipes made for this thing this past week. Just need to make a rear exhaust hanger and were good to get this thing back on the ground. Been working on this exhaust project for 2 months so I'm definitely ready to be done!
