My goal for this truck would be to run 10 sec maybe 9 sec passes. What would I need as far as a roll bar or cage? I want this to be a street truck so I'm hoping I can get a way with just a roll bar. Thoughts?

if you run 10's you can get away with no roll bar.......one time and then you'll be kicked out the track and asked not to return without proper rollbars/cages lol

You need a 10pt to 8.50. You should get a copy of the NHRA book to figure out exactly what you need.

11.5 and slower no roll bar needed. 11.49-10.0 you need a min 5 point roll bar. 9.99-8.50 needs a 10 point cage and certified to their building spec.

Cool, I'll go with a roll bar for now and upgrade to a cage if I go fast enough. Thanks for the info!!!

You need to contact an nhra guy that certs cages to be sure but, casey was tellin me that it is possible to be legal all the way to 9.99 with out bars thru the back window and without funny car cage. (with a truck, with stock firewall, with stock floor) and good to 8.50 with the addition of the funny car section.

Please dont quote me on this, as this is only what i heard, not know as fact. just posting fyi

What's the story on the front suspension? I see a non-truck spindle/hub setup.

The spindles are from a c4 vette. I wanted to go to 5 lug and figured this would be the best option for me. Makes the front end light and worked out great with my rack and pinion.
