nah diesel's are just getting wound up around 80 lol

 

we have a 05 F-350 CC 4x4 dually 6.0psd we are gettin 8.5-9mpg on the interstate (70mph) pulling our 16' vanbody tandem axle trailer. with out the trailer we get 10-10.5mpg... we have a 2001? F-250 CC 4x4 7.3psd and its gettin 18mpg on the interstate. we also have a 2001? Excursion 4x4 7.3 and it gets 23.5-24mpg.. but it has a K&N, Upgraded turbo(not sure of specifics), and a hypercrapper.

so from what we see in our fleet of trucks the 7.3 is way better than the new 6.0s. more power and better fuel economy.. why did they get rid of the 7.3's??

any news on the new ford PSDs? something bout a 7.4 or something is what ive heard about??

 

we are on a trip right now from Jackson, MS to Jackson, MN (1000miles) From Jackson, MN to Sheybogan, WI, From Sheybogan, WI to Canton, OH(im here right now) and then finally from Canton, OH back home to Jackson, MS....

so far our OD is reading ~2300miles and we have averaged 13.1mpg.. mostly doin 60-65 on highways... we have only filled up twice... heheh got to love an extra 100gals of fuel in the bed!!.. We always get people comin up to us at gas stations.. they always say WOW that thing holds $300 worth??? hahahah, and then they ask what we are doin way up here.. we got Mississippi tag...

I Have a 04 F-250 with ProComp 35,s and 18" Helo Wheels with a 3.5" lift. I Have An Edge Attitude
Chip. It Has 5 settings and I get the best mileage on the 5 setting. I'm Supposed to get the best mileage on setting 1. My mileage on # 5 is 12.5 miles per gallon. I Have up grade air filter and 4" exaust. This is the 6.0 Power Stroke. I love my truck but am dissapointed in the fuel mileage.
