I am thinking about buying a nice camera for my wife. However I know nothing about the nice cameras. She has had several nice digital cameras but now wants to step up to a good camera. I would like to stay under 800 for the camera. Any sugestions on whats a good value or which to stay away from or which features are a must have that others dont come with. Any help would be helpful thanks.

 

I have a cannon T1i and love it. Great camera, good kit lens, HD video. I actually have a friend on the motorcycle forum I am on selling one with a bag and SD card for a great price.

i've always liked the nikon d3000. thats the camera i'll most likely get when im ready to step up from a point and shoot

 

ti2 is very nice i like it alot cust bought it abut 2 months ago and it is great

 

stick with nikon or canon and youll be fine
