Default ZEX kit

Ok, I know we all hate the ZEX nitrous kits... but I got an entire kit for next to nothing on a trade so I figured I'd go ahead and try it out.

They say it's a dry kit, but that doesn't make a lot of sense to me since there is a fuel input on the box. Do the ZEX dry kits actually add a bit of fuel when it hits? It's a small shot, if the thing even works anymore (it's been sitting in my garage for about 2 years now) and I like the results I'll probably end up with a plate kit in the future.

Does it have a Fuel and Nitrous Input, and also an output?

Snap a picture of the nozzle and stuff.

I did a 150 shot on mine before the turbo and it was a ton of fun!

I'll get you a picture tomorrow nonnie. It does have a fuel and nitrous input and a single line going out of the box. (I'm assuming the box just holds the noids). I know next to nothing about nitrous other than if you go bigger than 50 or 75 (Can't remember which), you need to start pulling timing if you don't have a controller. The guy said that it was set up for a 70.

Was it a silverado specific kit or a universal kit? What did it come off of? The reason I ask is because don't the zex universal dry shots have a vaccume line that goes from the fuel pressure regulator to the box? Something about the box can increase fuel pressure through the regulator somehow? I've never dealt with zex firsthand, but seems like I remember reading that somewhere. If its only fuel in and no fuel out, that would be the only thing that I would figure it was for.
Now if it has a fuel in and a fuel out, it is def a wet kit. Pics would solve this one pretty quickly.

It all depends on your tune. My buddy had a superchips that we put the 87 tune in, filled truck with 93 oct and he was spraying 150 all day.

Do you have factory injectors? Thats gonna be your limiting factor for a dry shot.

Yeah, I've always been told they were terrible kits. I'd never trust that "brain" zex uses.

I'm running 8.1L injectors with a 255lph pump. Justin has a 91 oct tune on it.

I haven't read through the instructions.

That is my concern, I'd like to know exactly what that thing does. The only thing I can think with a fuel in and no fuel out is that it monitors fuel pressure in order to cut the Nitrous flow if pressure drops.

Turns out I remembered incorrectly. It's got a line for the intake, the fuel pressure regulator, the nozzle, and the nitrous inlet. It's a dry kit for sure.

What size cam do you have?
And those injectors are 34#?

That should be enought for a small shot to play with.

Comp 216/220 .532/.525 - 114 , I don't remember if they're 34# or 31#. I just want something to play with until I have some spare cash lying around to build a new engine.
