Well it seems that more and more people are going the boost route because they're "tired of filling bottles" "bottles are for babies" "boost is always there" blah blah blah...I see all kinds of people spending boo-koo bucks on turbos and blowers but not very many impressive track times to go with those dollars

Who's stuck with the bottle? By far the best bang for the buck performance wise.

What's your setup?
How fast have you gone?
What are your goals?

We went mid 11's with mine last year on the baby 100 shot with a 1.68 60' at 115mph. Since then I've built a new motor, got a better converter and alot more nitrous. Looking for some mid to low 10's this year

Single nozzle 60shot wet kit here.
Only N20 pass i did netted me a 13.9@99 on stock verter. My motor pass was a 15.2 lol.
Id like to up the shot to a 100 or 125 and run a nano setup in hopes of my kit being more efficient. Yeah bottle fills suck so im thinking of refilling my own to cut cost a bit...

i am changing setups now but i had the 4.8 running high 11s all day long on a 150 shot. i know it could have made an 11.5x pass or better but everything never clicked at once while on the track. i know she had it though. a few times i ran 11.8 on a 7.7x 1/8 and it had gone 7.4x before...

the problem with lots of $ on a boost truck and crappy times is the fact that everyone is doing it. you have people who know nothing about boost trying to use it and they are either scared of it or have no idea how to make it work. they saw some people putting down good numbers and followed them.

im in the middle of a big setup change, but with the heads/cam/intake LS1 - 11.5@118.x on a 125 shot.

new setup will be a heads/cam/intake forged 408 with 2 kits pilled for a total of 250. stand alone fuel for c16 race fuel. also swapped 4.10 gears for 4.30, 3600 converter for a 4,400, stock rear suspension for a custom setup (customish lol) and added a fuel cell behind the axle centerd in the bed. also went from 1 3/4 header/single exhaust to a 1 7/8 stepped to 2" header with true dual exhaust. it will have 2 3" cutouts at the collectors for track use.

i dont have any et goals, but i do have some 60' goals. i want to be the first ecsb cutting consistant 1.5x 60' times. then im looking at the turbo route lol.

Still on bottle here. Just finished my dry plate install. Waiting on my wideband to go higher. Only a 75 shot for now. Will post pics up later this week after I get the truck washed up

Is there anyone else on here with a dry plate? I think I may be the only one.

gay LOL

I think turbo's are cool and they'll make way more power than a nitrous motor, but the expense is so much(to do it the right way)that it just turns me off.

Nothing wrong with boost. On the bottle, the power is there only when you need it.

Phantom, Were you looking into setting up a dry direct port?

I will be shortly! Gotta order some jets though. Know of any companies that make jets that fit a NOS nozzle beside NOS and HSW narrow stems? NOS ones are 10 bucks a piece and HSW doesn't have the sizes I need!
